This week, both the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) and the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) conducted immigration draws.

Meanwhile, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) shared updates on the processing timelines for its provincial immigration streams.

In their respective draws, British Columbia and Manitoba selected candidates based on factors such as professional experience, education, and participation in targeted recruitment initiatives.

The second draw, for the Skilled Worker Overseas stream, saw the MPNP issue 79 LAAs to candidates who had been invited through a "Strategic Recruitment Initiative." To be invited, candidates needed a minimum score of 582.

Out of the total 348 candidates invited in both draws, 56 reported having a valid Express Entry profile and job seeker validation code.

Alberta

This week, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) released processing updates.

These updates provide information on the number of nominations issued, the remaining provincial allocation to be filled, and the current processing status for each stream.

The details are outlined in the tables below:

Note: For candidates whose work permits are set to expire in 2024, the AAIP is assessing these applications under the Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Program Candidates.
