
Last week, Prince Edward Island held its fourth Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) draw of the year, issuing Invitations to Apply (ITAs).
This round focused on individuals already residing and employed in PEI in key occupations and sectors, along with international graduates from designated post-secondary institutions.
PEI PNP Holds Fourth Draw of 2025, Issues 168 Invitations
On April 17, 2025, the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) conducted its fourth draw of the year, issuing 168 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through the Labour Impact and Express Entry pathways. The draw prioritized individuals who have lived and worked in PEI for at least one year, particularly in high-demand sectors such as healthcare, trades, and manufacturing.
Additional priority was given to international graduates from:
- University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI),
- Holland College, and
- Collège de l’Île.
PEI Labour Impact Category – Eligibility Summary:
This category includes:
- Skilled Worker Stream
- Critical Worker Stream
- International Graduate Stream
Basic requirements include:
- Age between 21 and 59,
- A full-time permanent job offer or a two-year contract from an eligible PEI employer,
- Proof of settlement funds, and
- Minimum CLB 4 in language proficiency.
Each stream has its own additional criteria.
PEI Express Entry Stream – Eligibility Summary:
Applicants must:
- Have a valid Express Entry profile under CEC, FSWP, or FSTP,
- Meet additional criteria if holding a PGWP or spousal open work permit from studies outside PEI, including:
- At least 9 months of continuous PEI work experience,
- At least 4 months left on the work permit at EOI submission.
Candidates can create a profile in the PEI Expression of Interest (EOI) system, valid for up to 6 months.
Total Invitations in 2025 so far: 401, all through Labour Impact and Express Entry streams.
