On September 3, Ontario’s Provincial Nominee Program presented 1,893 invitations to the Foreign Worker and International Student Streams who qualify through holding job offers within 77 priority occupations, while residing in Canada.

The draws consisting of the two different streams were based on applications submitted between July 2, 2025 and September 3, 2025 and had to meet minimum score requirements under a job offer in one of 77 occupations listed under the National Occupational Classification system.

Some broad examples of the NOC codes eligible include:

  • NOC 20012 – Computer and information systems managers
  • NOC 31200 – Psychologists
  • NOC 51110 – Editors
  • NOC 32122 – Medical sonographers
  • NOC 10011 – Human resources managers
  • NOC 72013 – Contractors and supervisors, carpentry trades

OINP draws in 2025

Similarly, OINP has directed three draws involving a total of 2,643 invitations provided to Foreign Nationals demonstrating job offers in priority health occupations.

Furthermore, the OINP has stated that the provincial nomination portion for the 2025 year has been lowered to 10,750 from the 21,500 invitations in 2024.

As the draws mentioned above all require job offers for eligibility, there is a clear shift in the application process from being applicant-led to employer-led. It is advised to ensure your employers have submitted job offers through the new portal for candidates to be considered for OINP draws.
