
Within the last two weeks of October, The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) held four draws. The draw with the most number of invitations was the Alberta Opportunity Stream. This draw accepted 900 applications with a minimum score of 60.
Different Streams in Alberta
The Alberta Opportunity Stream is for temporary foreign workers who are working full-time while residing in Alberta. To be qualified applicants must have a full-time job offer from an eligible Alberta employer.
The Dedicated Health Care Pathway is dedicated for those who have a job offer in an eligible health care occupation.
The Alberta Express Entry Stream is related to candidates with a valid job offer from Alberta Association of Chiefs of Police members. This is a Law Enforcement category which was established last year as a way to aid community police reach recruitment goals.
Lastly, the priority sectors for the Alberta Express Entry Stream takes into account eligible individuals in the construction realm. To be eligible they must list their profession as primary occupation in their Express Entry profile.
