The RCIP is a community-driven pathway to Canadian permanent residence (PR), allowing eligible foreign nationals with job offers from designated employers to apply for PR while contributing to the local workforce and economy.
What Areas Are Included?
Brandon’s RCIP covers a 25km radius around the city, including nearby areas such as:
- Brandon Hills
- Chater
- Cornwalis
- Riverdale

To be eligible under the RCIP, applicants must have a job offer from one of the following approved employers:

- Modular Industrial Structures Brandon (MISB)

* Brandon Clinic is hiring family and specialist physicians; candidates must be licensed in Canada or on a path to licensure.
** Only the Brandon location of Prairie Mountain Health is approved. Applicants must be currently employed or licensed in Canada.

Who Can Apply?
To qualify for Brandon’s RCIP stream, foreign nationals must:
- Hold a valid job offer from a designated employer
- Ensure the job offer falls within Brandon’s priority occupations
- Have relevant work experience or qualify under the international graduate exemption
- Meet language proficiency requirements
- Meet educational credential standards
- Show sufficient settlement funds for themselves and any accompanying family members
What Happens Next?
If applicants meet all the criteria, they may receive a community recommendation from Brandon and proceed to apply for permanent residency through the federal government.
In the meantime, candidates can also apply for a work permit exempt from the LMIA process, allowing them to begin working while their PR application is in process.
