Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has invited 500 candidates to apply for permanent residence through a targeted Express Entry draw held on June 4, 2025. This round focused on individuals with work experience in healthcare and social services.
To qualify, candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 504 and must have created their Express Entry profile before 6:47 a.m. UTC on March 31, 2025.
2025 Express Entry Draw Highlights
So far in 2025, IRCC has issued a total of 35,217 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) across various categories, including:
- Provincial Nominee Program (PNP): 9 draws
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC): 4 draws
- French Language Proficiency: 3 draws
- Healthcare and Social Services: 2 draws
- Education Category: 1 draw
This latest draw is the second one targeting the updated healthcare and social services category, following an earlier draw on May 2. It comes after recent rounds for the PNP (June 2) and CEC (May 13).
Express Entry Timelines and Application Process
An Express Entry profile is valid for 12 months. If no ITA is received within that timeframe, eligible candidates may resubmit a new profile.
Once an ITA is issued, applicants have 60 days to submit their complete application for permanent residence. IRCC typically aims to process these applications within six months from the date of receipt.
Express Entry remains one of Canada’s primary pathways for skilled immigration, with a continued emphasis in 2025 on targeting candidates who meet key labour market needs. Express Entry – Parisa Erfani
