This marks the fourth Express Entry draw in June and reflects a return to larger CEC-specific draws—now under the direction of Canada’s new Immigration Minister. The previous draws this month included two for the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and one targeting healthcare and social services professionals.

Overview of 2025 Express Entry Draws

So far this year, IRCC has issued 38,342 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) across various categories. Draws have largely focused on PNP candidates, while also prioritizing CEC applicants, French-speaking candidates, and individuals in select occupational categories such as healthcare, education, and social services.

Why the CEC Matters

The Canadian Experience Class plays a vital role in Canada’s immigration strategy. It provides a streamlined path to permanent residence for skilled foreign workers and international graduates who have gained valuable work experience within Canada.

Research from IRCC and Statistics Canada shows that CEC candidates tend to perform exceptionally well in the Canadian job market. With Canadian education or work experience, social integration, and existing professional networks, they are often better positioned for long-term success—even compared to some Canadian-born workers.

Key Benefits of the CEC Pathway:

  • Higher CRS scores for Canadian work experience
  • Fast processing times (typically under six months)
  • No requirement to show settlement funds
  • Proven labour market integration and adaptability

With strong human capital and in-country experience, CEC applicants are a top choice in Canada’s efforts to build a robust and adaptable workforce.
