
There has been a drastic increase in processing times for several immigration applications. Atlantic Immigration, Start-up Visa, and Federal Self-employed Persons Programs all have faced up to 190% percentage increase in wait time.
For the AIP program, the update has resulted in the 13 months long processing time previous to October to change to 37 months.
Start-up Visa has changed dramatically from 53 months to more than 10 years, resulting in approximately 126.4% percentage increase. This percent is only up to the 10 years, which with the statement more than 10 years could be much higher.
Federal Self-employed Persons applications have went from 61 months to also more than 10 years, experiencing a percentage increase of 96.72%. This is again only considering the first 10 years and no more than that.
For Citizenship applications there has been constant fluctuations in its processing time and currently it has been stated as 13 months.
Similarly, Humanitarian and refugee cases started the year off with a processing time stated as 73 months, however at the moment it has reached up to 99 months.
The processing time for humanitarian and compassionate cases both inside and outside Quebec has also increased to over 10 years.
